History

Easy Living Landscaping was formed in 1988 to provide landscape maintenance service in the Nanaimo area. It has grown from a small two person crew to over 30 persons during the peak of summer. The companies growth is largely due to its diversity and  attention to details. During the past five years Easy Living has worked on a number of large feature commercial installations. The Nanaimo Aquatic Centre, the Ice Centre, and the new Nanaimo Conference Centre. Strong project management, and the ability to handle large complex projects has helped Easy living make a positive mark in local landscape industry.

Recently Brent Wilson, Easy Living – President, added two new divisions to his company under the Easy Living Holdings banner. The new environmental division formed in 2007  added an Express Blower Truck to Brent’s fleet of equipment.  The pneumatic application equipment has the ability to efficiently apply compost, mulches, soil blends, aggregates, and wood chips at great distances.  From erosion and sediment, control to grass seed applications the Express Blower Truck has the capability to complete landscaping projects in a cost effective manner.  It also allows for Eco Blanket and Eco Berm (Registered Trademark) erosion control devises that are now being used on a commercial basis.   Wilson explains that these methods have replaced other less effective erosion control means.  They ensure cleaner rivers for fish, water quality and overall healthier wetlands.

In 2008 a high end residential division was formed after bringing Jamie Wallace from Carey’s Garden Designs Ltd. on board.  Jamie Wallace has developed a company that was consistently recognized for its award winning landscape designs and installations. Jamie’s motivation remains the immense pleasure and satisfaction brought to those he has  served.

Designer and Project manager Jamie Wallace is a specialist in creating gardens with year round interest, from small city spaces through to large acreage estates. 
His residential landscape designs are driven by imagination in concert with the unique characteristics of the Client's home and property. Jamie’s design and project management skills coupled with Easy Livings experience, and attention to detail will compliment each other. The result will be an effective team which will produce value added landscapes for our clients…
